Elemental Rituals

The sacred elements are the embodied framework for all of life. When we work with the elements in ritual, we call upon their power in the natural world around us, and invite them back into wholeness and balance within our own bodies and beings.

As part of the plant attunement process, we honor and call upon the elements to accompany and guide us into deeper levels of embodied union with the plant spirits.  

You are invited to journey through four elemental rituals: Fire, Water, Air and Earth. 

Week 1: The Fire of Transformation 

As we begin our journey we step into the fire of transformation and surrender to the inner alchemy of merging with our plant. Here we release what does not serve, and send our intentions and prayers into the Mystery to be returned in divine timing. Held in the loving flames of the alchemical fire, we open the portal of attunement and weave ourselves into communion with our plant spirit ally. 

Week 2: The Cleansing Water

We invite the purifying power of the water to flow through us, and our inner waters to flow freely. With the support of the cleansing waters and our plant ally, we enter into a ritual of grieving in which stagnant pain and emotions are allowed to release, freeing us to receive new life energy. As she cleanses, so too the water blesses, and we receive this gift in the form of a sacred plant bath blessing.

Week 3: The Breath of Life

Our breath is the thread of reciprocity which weaves us into union with the living world around us. As we inhale, we receive the energy of life directly from the trees, the plants, the Earth. As we exhale, we give this life back to our sacred kin in a dance of eternal holy symbiosis. In this elemental ritual we explore the weaving of breath and sound as vehicles for communion and offerings of reciprocity. 

Week 4: The Sacred Earth

We close our journey with a celebration of gratitude and embodiment. As we close the attunement portal, we honor the opening of the next cycle by planting seeds of change which we will continue to cultivate within ourselves and our world as we step forward into our new life. We reflect on the gifts we have received, and offer our gratitude and commitment to new embodiment as an offering of reciprocity with the Earth.
